bonnie Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 http://www.allenbwest.com/2016/01/whoa-look-which-gop-candidate-has-the-highest-minority-support/ If you went by the headlines you’d probably get the impression that Trump won’t garner any of the minority vote. Hillary Clinton has branded him as a racist – as has Bernie Sanders for his comments on Mexican illegal immigrants. A column at The Week was headlined “Donald Trump is running the most explicitly racist campaign since 1968” But ironically it seems everyone who’s found Trumps comments to be racist is white. As World Net Daily reported regarding Trump’s polling numbers: Pundits might point to billionaire Donald Trump’s huge lead in the GOP presidential primary race as being the result of his generally anti-Washington, anti-government, anti-establishment, anti-politically correct attitude. If so, it’s not just whites who are ticked at the bureaucracy, but minorities too. Because a new poll, which still has Trump leading the race, shows 40 percent of blacks are lining up behind Trump, as are 45 percent of Hispanics, and even nearly 19 percent of Asians. Blacks and Hispanics, in fact, even support Trump at a higher level than whites. The results are from a new WND/Clout poll by Clout Research, a national opinion research firm in Columbus, Ohio. The telephone survey of registered voters was taken Dec. 18-27, except for the holiday, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.35 percentage points. Moderators lazarus Posted January 4, 2016 Moderators Posted January 4, 2016 This poll is so ridiculous and not worth the paper it might be printed on. The whole poll asked 10 black people their opinion. 4 picked trump and of course that is 40%. 5 picked Carson. This is a bad poll of conservative Republicans with a grossly misleading headline. I'm sure I could work up a set of data and declare that 40% of white men like sex with children. Stan and phkrause 2 Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. Moderators Bravus Posted January 4, 2016 Moderators Posted January 4, 2016 With a sample that size the error margins dwarf the findings. These numbers mean literally nothing. Will look for a better poll. Not one closer to my views, one with a credible methodology. Stan, lazarus, JoeMo and 1 other 4 Quote Truth is important

I belong to a very active forum for online sellers that has a membership in the thousands. Day by day Trump gains in popularity. It is now running at least three to one for Trump/ People are getting angrier by the day and many would like a good slap to the face for those holding office now. Contrary to the "experts" here and elsewhere Trump was not just a flash in the pan. Still there and still very popular among many. It would almost be funny if this weren't a presidential election. Just a word on polls Bravus. Towards the end of the governor campaign, small polls and polls that people scoffed at as being in Ventura's pocket started to show a shift but was dismissed.Right up till the end,the democrats were gleeful that Ventura would give a win to democrats by splitting the vote. They were in absolute disbelief when he won. We ended up with our clown governor because of the democratic vote Stan 1 Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Actually that is low, 100% of white men and women do have sex with Children.. it is the child of their mother of father-in-laws. Do not black, asians etc to that? Why would it be less? It takes a lot of work to get a good poll. Moderators Gerr Posted January 4, 2016 Moderators Posted January 4, 2016 Here is 1 Asian that can be added to the poll. I was initially enamored with Trump, but the more he opened his mouth, the more I became disgusted. Yes, I'm disgusted with Washington too. The politicians have become a huge problem for the country. If lying Hillary and bombastic, jingoistic, egomaniac Trump are the eventual nominees, I'll just not vote this year. JoeMo 1 Quote
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted January 4, 2016 Administrators Posted January 4, 2016 Here is a link to the poll data - http://www.scribd.com/doc/294193100/WND-GOP-Poll-12-28-15-National-w-All-Parties A total of 445 individuals polled. 19 self-identified as Democrat. 365 as Republicans. 61 as Independent. 229 self-identified as conservative or very conservative. 63 as moderate. 25 as liberal or very liberal. And 25 declined to say. 390 self identified as white. 10 as Black. 31 as Hispanic. And 16 as Asian/other. Gender - 230 Male and 214 female. This poll is obviously substantially skewed to conservative Republicans. The demographic data that comes close to the general population is gender. But race is not reflective of the generally population, but perhaps closer to being consistent with the the demographic mix for conservative Republicans - mostly white. Just take a look at the crowds that are attending the leading GOP candidates rallies. Sometimes it is hard to find anyone not white. Bottom line is that this really is far from a reliable or meaningful poll. phkrause 1 Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." Moderators Bravus Posted January 4, 2016 Moderators Posted January 4, 2016 WSJ polling has black support for Trump among Republicans at about 25%, which seems like a more reasonable figure. Quote Truth is important
bonnie Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 Bottom line is that this really is far from a reliable or meaningful poll. Most of us believe a poll now is not all that meaningful . The numbers on any poll is not really what interest me at this time. It is for all the huffing and puffing and the ridicule contrary to what the "wise men among us claim to know Trump is still here.Never really falling but steadily moving forward. A couple of interesting articles have a higher percentage of democrats agreeing with Trump when questions that mirror Trumps stand is asked without his name. The number drops when his name is used. While not as all knowing as some time will tell and may give a very unpleasant surprise. Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Moderators Bravus Posted January 5, 2016 Moderators Posted January 5, 2016 I stand by my earlier prediction from about a fortnight ago: "My prediction: he [Trump] will no longer be the front-runner by the 5th primary and will be out of the field by the 10th." My prediction was too conservative on Carson: he's already 4th or 5th in most polls and is likely to be irrelevant even before Iowa. Quote Truth is important
Moderators lazarus Posted January 5, 2016 Moderators Posted January 5, 2016 Another factor is that popular vote is not enough in GOP primaries. It's also about how delegates to the convention are awarded. Santorum had double Ron Paul's popular vote but eventually got about 30% of the amount of the delegates that Paul had. I'm backing Jeb!
