JoeMo Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 In my opinion, any "spirituality" or "revelation" that breeds fear or condemnation is from the wrong Spirit. (The "discomforter"?) CoAspen and rudywoofs (Pam) 2 Quote

Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted January 27, 2016 Members Posted January 27, 2016 ... "spirituality" and "comforting" definitely go together, but "comforting" isn't necessarily a Christian action. Even Satan can be "comforting" — and in a very helpful way... at first. LifeHiscost 1 Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
CoAspen Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 True, but some seem to think that 'comforting words' are not 'truth speaking' and seem to be only concerned about a version of 'truth' they wish to have others believe. 'Smooth saying', which is different from comforting words, is implied to be the same as comforting and therefore one should be afraid of such. I reject anything that brings fear into a relationship with God. rudywoofs (Pam), phkrause and JoeMo 3 Quote
