Nicodema Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Stan, if people go to their "My Home" and select "Display preferences", then "Always Use Default" for the display, then click the "submit" button at the bottom of the page, it should kick in for them. That's what I did. Quote "After such knowledge, what forgiveness?" -- T.S. Eliot

cricket Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Yep. They do show up on the login page...but, because I don't use the default skin, I don't see it on the "inside"! Quote

Ron Lambert Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 The new colors seem pleasing, as in comfortable to the eye. By the way, Stan, are you aware that html code only works when you first post, but not when you edit? I tried changing the font face to symbol for displaying Greek letters, and it worked fine when first posting, but then when I tried to edit it, the html code was not executed. <font face=symbol size=3> kai eidon kai idou ippoV leukoV kai o kaqhmenoV ep auton ecwn toxon kai edoqh autw stefanoV kai exhlqen nikwn kai ina nikhsh </font> The above worked fine the first time I posted. But when I edited it to add these words, the html code did not work. I made no change in the text with the codes. Quote
Taylor Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Green is not my favorite color, but it is very pleasing to the eye, relaxing and I like the way it is used here! Good job Stan! Quote
Stan Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 Hi Ron There are a bunch of issues with this software like that, they were once the cutting edge now they are way behind.. Not even sure what the future holds for them.. Am looking at other softeware such as i am using here www.adventist.sam or www.sagebc.com My problem is to reintregrate everything, ie chat, photos, etc etc etc wil take a few hundred dollars and a few days of my time. I hope to be doing other layouts that match the banner as this one does.. It's the first horseman from Revelation (rider going forth with a bow and a crown conquering and to conquer) ... Rev 6:2. "toxon" and "stefanon" gave it away along with nikwn kai ina nikhsh. Nicodema Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 But it's Greek spelled in ENGLISH!! Quote "After such knowledge, what forgiveness?" -- T.S. Eliot
Ron Lambert Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Nicodema, I just copied and pasted from a post by Jasd with that text in the theology forum, where I first discovered the problem when I tried to show Jasd how to get Greek characters to appear (you have to reset the type face to symbol). You are right, the text is Rev. 6:2. Amelia, my Greek teacher at Andrews told us the first day of class that if anybody ever repeated that saying, "It's Greek to me," he would automatically be flunked! Quote

NormF Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 To Neil and others who worry over my health, I'm just fine ... just a little "see"-sick, that's all. (Come on, I'm not that fragile yet!) <img src="/ubbtreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif" alt="" /> Methinks 'tis time to go rummaging through the skins pack again. Hope that thing is still around. Administrators Naomi Posted February 1, 2006 Administrators Posted February 1, 2006 just adding on. Norm, I have been otherwise occupied and missed the bit about your not feeling up to your usual self. Glad your all better. As for the colors, they are great. But everytime I make a post and attempt to go to the next one a box comes up and says something about an error in reading the script. It doesn't shut me down, just gives me an error message. Perhaps this has been discussed and there is a solution, but I missed it. Naomi Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
