Adventist HealthCare Washington Adventist Hospital broke ground Monday for the new 170-bed, $331 million state-of-the-art healthcare campus, which will be built in the White Oak area of Montgomery County. With the goal to open in early 2019, the facility is expected to create nearly 7,500 jobs between construction and hospital operations and to inject more than $800 million into the Maryland economy, just in the construction alone. The historic Takoma Park location will continue to provide other healthcare services for the community. The 2016 ACS Nonprofit Leadership Certification Program (NLCP), Session 1, for pastors, church administrators, and nonprofit leaders, will be conducted Apr. 18-21, in Norcross, Ga. NLCP focuses on three major learning outcomes; a) leadership skills; b) improvement of management knowledge; and c) changes in attitude of social dimensions of evangelism. MORE Church Planters BootCamp is for equipping, assessing, and supporting new NAD church planters. Church planters leading Community Church Plants funded by PLANT1000 must attend the BootCamp, Apr. 28 - May 1, in Camp Kulaqua, Fla. Each church planter will receive assessment and training by top church planters and will be matched with a coach who will provide support in ministry during the church planting journey. BootCamp is free to church planters and includes training, materials, lodging, and meals. The church planters and their conference/church are responsible for their own transportation. Register here.
