The role of good works

We all know that we ar not saved by our works. But what does the Bible say about the good things that we do? Should we not do them because they provide no merit at all towards our salvation? What does the Bible say about good works?

While we are not saved by our works, it is true we are saved by works. Those works just happen to be the Masters' works'.

…4"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. 5"I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.....John 15

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven.  We are to serve and as needs are met through His power, and guiding, and inspiration, it rebounds to glory to God.
