NOTE: The author of this study wishes to limit those who take the survey to those who identify as SDA. To identify as SDA does NOT mean that the person is a congregational member. By that I meant that the study was being conducted in accord with academic standards. This is in contrast to someone posting a set of questions here, as is often done. As to who is doing it and why: 1) Start off by reading the article at the 1st URL. 2) If the above article does not answer all of your questions, access the 2nd URL and read the statement at the beginning of the survey. Moderators Bravus Posted April 17, 2016 Moderators Posted April 17, 2016 An old friend of mine - my guitar teacher when I was in my late teens at college - announced on Facebook on the weekend that he was leaving the SDA denomination. He didn't specify whether he was leaving only the denomination but remaining Christian, or becoming agnostic, or... simply that he would no longer be SDA. As of now that Facebook post has 546 responses, with a very wide range of comments. A very interesting range, too. A fair few assumptions, not a whole lot of questions. A lot of affirmation of the man, whatever his journey, and also a fair few wishes for his return. All, I think, well meant: even the comments that those supporting his decision are in league with demons. I'll go and complete the survey: I do surveys in my own research, and know how hard it is to get participants, and how grateful I am when I do. Quote Truth is important
