Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted February 5, 2006 Moderators Posted February 5, 2006 This is an edited, and abridged edition of an article which has appeared in the Vol. 42, Issue of THE ONION, a satirical weekly published in Boulder, Colorado. Investigators have documented the terror of the three passengers who survied crash of a hot-air balloon. Traveling doxens of feet of the ground, a main burner failed, and the balloon began its harrowing desent. In the 90 minutes that it took for the Balloon to crash into power lines and the ground, the three passangers had time to consider their fate, and make whatever peace they needed to make. On alert passenger used his cell-phone to call 911. Rescue personnel were delayed by heavy traffice, but reached the scene of the crash 40 minutes before the balloon landed. Tapes and transcripts of telephone conversations between passengers reveal that on woman berated herhusband for not taking trash out that morning. He promised to take it out if he survived. The balloons Black Box has been recovered in good condition and in in the hands of the NTSB fro review. Again: Please refer to the article in THE ONION as I hvae referenced above.
