Seventh-day Adventists versus Federal Law Title IX. Will SDAs Bow or Stand?

The controversy surrounding the transgender community and the demands for their rights and equality is not only a hot-button issue in the world, but it is also confronting the churches as well, excepting none. Like other Christian denominations, Seventh-day Adventist institutions are caught in the middle of trying to navigate through their biblical understanding and doctrines while addressing the transgender community with their increasing demands. The Federal Law known as Title IX has brought the issues of the LGBT community in Christian schools to the forefront.

that  was  a  very  good article and  yes  not  just the  S.D.A  CHURCH  SCHOOLS and S.D.A  CHURCH need to  stand

with  what the  bible says  but  every  person that  claims  to be a  Christian  needs  to  stand  firm  also

IMHO, the issue for the LGBTQ rights movement is not gay marriage or gender-neutral bathrooms; it is moral equivalency/equality. Rather than addressing the actual problem of rejection and condemnation, some gay rights activists are trying to just treat the symptoms of the problem; hoping to reach the goal of moral equality that way.  IMHO, the LGBTQ movement, the government, and the church would all be better off if the moral majority (I use the term loosely) and the LGBTQ movement had never tried to coerce government into mandating morality.

In the article,  Hilari Henriques, the apparent author states:

The issue at hand is not whether or not the Seventh-day Adventist schools should file for further exemptions to Title IX, the issue is that the denomination has placed itself with most of its institutions and auxiliary programs under government regulation and scrutiny because of its 501©(3) status; and as a government entity the denomination is expected to comply with government stipulations. The only clear solution is not applying for exemptions every time a policy or law is enforced that goes against God’s Word, but rather for the Seventh-day Adventist denomination to sever its connection with the government and go back to the blueprint that the Lord had designed, a self-sustaining, self-funded, denomination with all of its institutions, including schools, hospitals, publishing houses, ministries, etc. There certainly is enough money in the denomination to do so.

The idea that this denomination could develop self-sustaining hospitals that could operate without government funds is simply false.  Like it or not, medical care is such today that hospitals that serve the public at large can not operate without government funding.   There simply is not enough money in the denomination for it to do so.  Anyone who would suggest otherwise simply does not understand the financial basis  clinical hospital care today.
