JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH

Answer: Johann Sebastian Bach was a German composer and musician of the Baroque period. Bach is now generally regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time. In 1706, he married his cousin Maria Barbara Bach. The couple had seven children together, 4 of whom survived to adulthood. Maria died in 1720 while Bach was traveling with Prince Leopold. The following year, Bach married a singer named Anna Magdalena Wülcken. They had thirteen children, more than half of them died as children. Bach fathered a total of 20 children with his two wives.

Answer: American Gothic is a painting by Grant Wood in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago. It is one of the most familiar images in 20th-century American art, and has been widely parodied in American popular culture. The painting shows a farmer standing beside a woman that has been interpreted to be either his wife or his daughter. The figures were modeled by Wood's sister, Nan Wood Graham, and his dentist Dr. B.H. McKeeby. The man is holding a pitchfork, which symbolizes hard labor, and the flowers over the woman's right shoulder suggesting domesticity. Wood's inspiration came from what is now known as the American Gothic House, and his decision to paint the house along with "the kind of people I fancied should live in that house."

 BREAKOUT

Answer: Breakout is an arcade game developed and published by Atari, and released in 1976. It was built by Steve Wozniak, aided by Steve Jobs. Breakout was the basis and inspiration for certain aspects of the Apple II personal computer. Jobs was offered $750, with a bonus for every TTL (transistor-transistor logic) chip fewer than 50. He convinced Wozniak to work with him, promising to split the fee evenly. When they completed the job, they received a bonus of $5,000, which Jobs kept secret from Wozniak. Wozniak has stated he only received payment of $350; he believed for years that Atari had promised $700.

STINGRAY

Answer: Steve Irwin, nicknamed "The Crocodile Hunter", was an Australian wildlife expert, television personality, and conservationist. Irwin achieved worldwide fame from the television series The Crocodile Hunter, an internationally broadcast wildlife documentary series which he co-hosted with his wife Terri. Irwin died on September 24, 2006 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming an underwater documentary film titled Ocean's Deadliest. Irwin's death is believed to be the only fatality from a stingray captured on video. All copies of the footage were destroyed at the behest of Irwin's family.

Robin Williams

ROBIN WILLIAMS

Answer: Robin Williams voiced the Genie for SAG scale pay—$75,000—instead of his asking fee of $8 million, on condition that his name or image not be used for marketing. Disney, while not using Williams's name in commercials as per the contract, used his voice for the Genie in the commercials and used the Genie character to sell merchandise without having to pay Williams additional money. Disney attempted to assuage Williams by sending him a Pablo Picasso painting worth more than $1 million at the time, but this move failed to repair the damaged relationship, as the painting apparently really "clashed" with the Williams' home decor.

The Constitution

Answer: Andrew Johnson succeeded Abraham Lincoln as president, and was the first president of the United States to be impeached. On this day in 1875, Johnson died of a stroke while visiting his daughter in Tennessee. He was buried with his body wrapped in an American flag and a copy of the U.S. Constitution placed under his head, according to his wishes. The burial ground was dedicated as the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery in 1906, and with his home and tailor's shop, is part of the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site.

D. Mr. Red

If you're seeing red, you're incorrect. Misters Pink, Blonde and Brown were among the colorfully named characters in the Quentin Tarantino flick, but Mr. Red wasn't.

 INDIANA JONES

Answer: In Raiders of the Lost Ark, archaeologist Indiana Jones was named after George Lucas's dog named Indiana. The character was originally named Indiana Smith, after his dog Indiana, an Alaskan Malamute that Lucas owned in the 1970s. Spielberg disliked the name Smith, and Lucas casually suggested Jones as an alternative. In the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr. admits to having taken for himself the name of the family dog, Indiana, of whom he had very fond memories.
