Answer: Michael Keaton was born with the name Michael Douglas but changed his last name in order to avoid confusion between he and the famous "Wall Street" actor. In response to rumors that he selected his stage name due to an attraction to actress Diane Keaton, or in homage to silent film actor Buster Keaton, he has responded by saying "it had nothing to do with that". Keaton has said in several interviews that he searched a phone book under "K", saw "Keaton" and decided to stop looking. Yet to this day, he has never legally changed it; he still goes by Michael Douglas to his friends and family.

 THE  UKRAINE

Answer: Only two countries contain the word ''the'' in their official names. They are "The Bahamas" and "The Gambia". "The Ukraine" is incorrect both grammatically and politically. The name Ukraine is both the conventional short and long name of the country. This name is stated in the Ukrainian Declaration of Independence and Constitution. The use of the word "the" relates to the time before independence in 1991, when Ukraine was a republic of the Soviet Union known as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Since then, it is simply Ukraine.

MOBILE ALABAMA

Answer: Do you think Seattle is the rainiest city in the United States? Well, think again. Mobile, Alabama, holds the title of the rainiest city in the United States, thanks to the average 67 inches of rain it gets each year. Located in Mobile County, Alabama, the city is located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, and experiences a mild subtropical climate. Additionally, Mobile experiences an average of 59 rainy days each year. Pensacola, Florida, and New Orleans, Louisiana, come in second and third for their rainfall. Source: Worldpopulationreview.com

Answer: In the midst of the depression, Harland Sanders opened his first restaurant in the front room of a Shell gas station in Corbin, Kentucky where he served as station operator, cook, and cashier. Word got out about his chicken, and travelers looking to fill up their stomachs (and their gas tanks) started to flock to his service station. Over the next several years, his meals became famous in Kentucky, and he continued his mission to perfect his fried chicken. In 1936, Sanders was honored with the title of "Kentucky Colonel" by the state's governor. By branding himself as "Colonel Sanders", Harland became a prominent figure of American cultural history.

Answer: The Franklin half dollar was struck by the United States Mint from 1948 to 1963. The fifty-cent piece pictures Founding Father Benjamin Franklin on the obverse and the Liberty Bell on the reverse. A small eagle was placed to the right of the bell to fulfill the legal requirement that half dollars depict the figure of an eagle. Ironically, Franklin had opposed the selection of the eagle as the US national symbol, preferring the turkey as a "more noble bird". Beginning in 1964 it was replaced by the Kennedy half dollar, issued in honor of the assassinated President John F. Kennedy.
