New Cell Phone Service

Google is introducing a new cell p-hone service that I find very interesting.

In brief, that service operates on both of the major cellphone networks here in the US and potentially in some other countries, plus it operates on open Wi-Fi networks.  NOTE:  I said "Open"

To use it you must own either a Nexus 5X or a Nexus 6p.  They are currently selling the 5x for $199 with 16 GB and for $249 with 32 GB.  The 6P is selling for higher amounts.

If you purchase either outside of Google, or already own one, they will send you a free SIM card upgrade with instructions as to how to convert your phone by replacing the SIM card.

They operate month- to month and not contract is required.

Their basic plan is:

a)  $20 for unlimited talk and text.

'2) $10 for 1 GB of data.  Each additional GB is $10.

 3) If you do not use your data amount you will be refunded--EG a failure to use 1/2 GB will result in a refund of $5.

Check it out.  It sounds interesting to me.
