Is Faith an Emotion or Thought?

In deepest depressions and emotional hurdles, a man with enough mental disciplin can say with his mightiest strength in his heart.. That he believes in God.. But in the ongoing presence of severely conflicting emotions.. Can this be an oke form of faith?

One's emotions is just as fickle as the weather and as changeable as circumstances.  Faith as a verb is an action word, therefore as act of the will.  Faith as a noun has its source in God and must

be received, which is also an act of the will.
