THE WONDERFUL I

 

To Mr. Donald Trump,

 

I would like to have a word with you, a little word of advise from The Wise.

I would like to call your attention to a man of antiquity who once declared,

"Is not this the great empire that I HAVE BUILT for myself and for the honor of my glory?" Daniel 4:30

The next verse goes on to say,

"While the words were still in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, 'O King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken, The kingdom is departed from you. And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field; they shall make you to eat grass like oxen, and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdoms of men, and gives it to whomsoever He will.'" Daniel 4:31-32.

And then we read,

"The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar, and he was driven from men, and did eat grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws.

And at the end of the days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes unto heaven, and my understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honored Him who lives forever, whose dominion and His kingdom is from everlasting to everlasting. At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and brightness returned unto me; and my counselors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of Heaven, all whose words are truth, and His ways justice, and those that work in pride he is able to abase." Daniel 4:33-37.

But "The creation belongs to God. The Lord could, by neglecting man, stop his breath at once. All that he is and all that he has pertains to God. The entire world is God's. Man's houses, his personal acquirements, whatever is valuable or brilliant, is God's own endowment. It is all His gift to be returned to God in helping to cultivate the heart of man. The most splendid offerings may be laid upon the altar of God, and men will praise, exalt, and laud the giver because of His liberality. In what?

"All things come of Thee, and of Thine own have we given Thee." 1 Chronicles 29:14; Faith & Works, 23,24.

Mrs. Trump,

"What have you that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, Why do you glory as though you did not receive it." 1 Corinthians 4:7.

We ought to give credit to whom credit is due.
