Administrators Gail Posted June 4, 2016 Administrators Posted June 4, 2016 It's not really a translation, per se. They have merely substituted emojis for certain words where they could. I thought that the Pirate Bible was more creative. I knew about the Lego Bible, but passed on that one for the store. I am not sure where to draw the line at presenting Scripture in a manner that makes it seem like fantasy. We do carry the Picture Bible, the Comic book Bible and the Manga Bible and people like them. One never knows. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Outta Here Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 The funny thing is...I really don't know any teens (or young adults) who use emojis in this fashion. Rarely do they use more than a smiley face. Rather, it is the aging adult who is trying (too hard) to be young, fresh and relevant to the modern age that I've seen use emojis this way. That's *my* experience with the whole emoji phenomenon. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted June 6, 2016 Members Posted June 6, 2016 lol... I'm an "aging adult" who has no clue what those "emojis" mean. "Emoticons" are the best I can do... Outta Here 1 Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Administrators Gail Posted June 6, 2016 Administrators Posted June 6, 2016 There was another one... I think it was a texter's Bible. Same kind of idea. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
