The URL listed below takes you to a company that is producing a USB drive made out of paper that can be plugged into a computer and its files read.  This is explained by the URL below.

The General Conference is working with the company (intellipaper) to produce a paper USB drive that can be mailed in mass to others.    When they plug it into t heir computer they will be encouraged to visit THE GREAT HOPE website.

The following, I believe, is the website that people will be encouraged to access.

Interesting about the "paper" USB... but it actually has a silicone chip embedded in it, so it's not as if it's just a piece of paper...  Still very cool, though.

Question about "The Great Hope"....  Has anyone read that?  I've not, but I understand it's a "watered down" version of "The Great Controversy," taking out the parts that some from other faiths would find offensive.

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

I agree that the technology is pretty cool. I just don't see it as being something very useful. Is the denomination really spending money on this to send people something to actually have to put into their computers to then be encouraged to visit a website?

I mean, think about this: Would anyone really take a piece of paper that's supposedly a USB and physically insert it into their own comupters...just to see what they hype is all about? Would you? Would anyone??? Would you not be suspect that it is cleverly disguised malware? And...what if it gets stuck in the port?

I think it will be a disastrous waste of money.

But that's just my opinion...

A few years back we had some that we tried to sell in the store and they did not catch on. At the time they sold for about $10.

If I was given one, would I be curious enough to try it? Not likely. Personally I would rather have a book in hand.

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
