Norman Byers, N.D. Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Please see this link. I heard this General on the radio program, Point of View on thursday and have been trying to find that interview but could not find it. But I have found this. I am not afilliated with this website and know nothing about it except that it has this video. http://www.msunderestimated.com/2006/01/fmr_saddam_general_georges_sad.html Why isn't this all over the news? Dr. Shane Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Quote: That outlet and those broadcasters are seen as spokespersons for the rightwing. That is how leftwing views them. Moderates tend to view them as fair and balanced. They are the number one cable news network and thus part of the mainstream establishment. The reason this isn't all over the news is because it is just hearsay. It is based on what some Iraqi captians told this retired Iraqi general. It is a "he-said/she-said" story. Hanity & Combs is not a hard news program. FoxNews itself has not even run this story as a news item. They have only reported that the book has been written by this former general. Norman Byers, N.D. Posted February 14, 2006 Author Posted February 14, 2006 Hi Jeannie, Regardless of who presented this it should be made known. Just because it comes from Fox that doesn't make what George Sada said meaningless. If Syria has this stuff then something needs to be done and not just ignored because it comes from a source that is unpopular for some. That's a dangerous position to take. With this type of thinking we will get hit again and hard because the squeeky wheel will be ignored instead of being oiled, if you know what I mean. Neil D Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 So let me get this straight,... You prefer to listen to hearsay, where evidence is extremely lacking for the WMD's removal and inuendo rather than evidence that supports accusations.... Perhaps that is the reason we have so much problems within the SDA church....people believe what they think is credible, without supporting evidence.... First off, as Jean has said, this report comes from the entertainment industry of Hannity and Colmes, who maskaraid as reviewors of 'breaking' news, from a supposedly 'unbiased' reporting that gives 'balanced and fair' reporting. Obviously, MY bias against Fox news has been documented elsewhere as a republican outlet of tainted news. Second, what is the credibility quotient of this man? He may be very credible, however his 'capitians' may have lied to him, even though they were friends... Third, WMD inspectors, who are charged to be honest in thier assessment of WMDs have found NO evidence of mass produced WMDs, either biological nor neuclear... Weigh your judgments carefully, is my advice. Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Dr. Shane Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Does anyone remember the book by Kitty Kelley entitled "The Family:The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty"? In this book she claimed G.W. Bush used cocaine at Camp David, George H. W. Bush had a long-lasting affiar and that Laura Bush would bring George W. his dime bags. This book was released during the 2004 presidential campaign. She got interviews on NBC's "Today" show, ABC's "Good Morning America", MSNBC "Hardball with Chris Matthews", the syndicated program "Extra", CNN's "LateNight With Aaron Brown," "American Morning" and "Lou Dobbs Tonight." The book was hearsay and yet recieved a massive amount of coverage by the mainstream press. So let's not start calling FOXNews names simply because they make a report about a book that was written and interview the author. It is note worthy that when FOXNews interviewed the author they did it on a program with both a conservative and a liberal. Kitty Kelley got all easy interviews by the mainstream press. So once again FOXNews shows itself to be "fair and balanced". I do wish Alan Combs had been there instead of his stand-in. I like Alan Combs Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Norman Byers, N.D. Posted February 15, 2006 Author Posted February 15, 2006 Hi Neil, When such claims are made it is wise to check them out. Whether we find the pilots credible or not is not important. What is important is the seriousness of his claim. What if it is true Neil? Then what if these weapons are given to terrorist or they steal them and they end up using them here or in Israel or other parts of the world, don't you care? Put politics aside and think this through man. Quote: Third, WMD inspectors, who are charged to be honest in thier assessment of WMDs have found NO evidence of mass produced WMDs, either biological nor neuclear... It doesn't need to be mass produced Neil and how do we know they were able to look everywhere. This should be broadcast everywhere and followed up. The UN should put pressure on Syria to answer this claim.Gen Sada should also be asked to show where these sites were if he knows of them. That is my advice and it is good because it could involve your life and mine along with who knows how many others. If someone told you that a guy you had a fight with in highschool was hanging around your town and was planning on shooting you and your family and they told you where he was staying (a local motel), would you ask those same questions? (Is the person credible, is the person who heard this biased, etc?) or would you go and take a look at the motel just to make sure? I know I'd be checking it out. Neil D Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Quote: When such claims are made it is wise to check them out. Whether we find the pilots credible or not is not important. What is important is the seriousness of his claim. What if it is true Neil? Do you believe that Jesus is literally here on earth now? Of course you don't. And why is that? I suspect that you don't believe that He is here because there are some signs that He said would accompany His appearing. And those signs have not appeared....And yet, there are whole denominations that claim that Jesus is here, now, albeit invisible [At least, last I heard, the JW were claiming that.] The weapon inspectors can not show manufacturing that produce ANY WMDs. There were plans, but no plants. NO buildings or structures that housed manufacturing sites for the WMDs. So, who you gonna believe? Some entertainer who is a republican mouth piece druming up any Tom, Dick or Harry to say anything that fits within the republican agenda, or UN inspectors whose job it is to find and dismantle those WMD? Dr. Shane Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Link >>> Intelligence Summit to Air 'Saddam's WMD Tapes' <<< Quote: Reportedly armed with 12 hours of Saddam Hussein's audio recordings, the organizers of an upcoming "Intelligence Summit" are describing the tapes as the "smoking gun evidence" that the Iraqi dictator possessed weapons of mass destruction in the period leading up to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. Quote: On Oct. 6, 2004, Charles Duelfer, advisor to the director of Central Intelligence on Iraqi weapons, told the Senate Armed Services Committee that Saddam did not have WMD at the time of the invasion and that the weapons were likely destroyed following the first Persian Gulf War in 1991. On Jan. 12, 2005, the U.S. announced that is was stopping its search for the weapons in Iraq. | But a four-day Intelligence Summit, to be held Feb. 17-20 in Arlington, Va., is re-igniting the debate over the Iraqi WMD. The featured discussion, on Saturday, Feb. 18, is titled: "Saddam's WMD Tapes: 'The Smoking Gun' Evidence." The agenda for the event indicates that the person who will speak about the tapes is at this point "anonymous." So if FOXNews is so bias why arn't they reporting on this story yet? Link >>> The Intelligence Summit Quote: A former military intelligence analyst, who currently works as a civilian contractor, believes he has found a cache of extremely confidential--and very shocking--audio recordings of Saddam Hussein's office meetings. The audiotapes, which had apparently been overlooked, were found in a warehouse along with many other untranslated Iraqi intelligence files. These tapes are extremely significant, since they may be the best evidence yet of Saddam's secret intentions concerning weapons of mass destruction. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 ABC reported this story on World News Tonight. The video is currently on their homepage. Here is the text. Link >>> EXCLUSIVE: The Secret Tapes -- Inside Saddam's Palace Quote: The tapes also reveal Iraq 's persistent efforts to hide information about weapons of mass destruction programs from U.N. inspectors well into the 1990s. In one pivotal tape-recorded meeting, which occurred in late April or May of 1995, Saddam and his senior aides discuss the fact that U.N. inspectors had uncovered evidence of Iraq's biological weapons program—a program whose existence Iraq had previously denied. Quote: Charles Duelfer, who led the official U.S. search for weapons of mass destruction after the war, says the tapes show extensive deception but don't prove that weapons were still hidden in Iraq at the time of the U.S.-led war in 2003. "What they do is support the conclusion in the report, which we made in the last couple of years, that the regime had the intention of building and rebuilding weapons of mass destruction, when circumstances permitted." So if the US had not invaded. Saddam would have aquired WMDs again. Wow! And that from ABC! It goes to what I have said before... FOXNews is causing the other networks to be less bias. I hope no one is going to accuse ABC of being the mouth piece for the right wing. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Norman Byers, N.D. Posted February 16, 2006 Author Posted February 16, 2006 Hi Neil, Quote: So, who you gonna believe? Some entertainer who is a republican mouth piece druming up any Tom, Dick or Harry to say anything that fits within the republican agenda, or UN inspectors whose job it is to find and dismantle those WMD? I heard of Gen Sada on a Christian radio program called "Point of View" and I was looking for that interview online. I was not able to find it but did find other interviews that Gen Sada had given. Then I came across the H & C interview. It really make no difference to me who brings this out. It's serious enough to look into. I am interested in finding out the truth. Also I did hear something about ABC News finding some tapes concerning Sadaam conversations. Shane has posted something about this.I want to learn more about that. In the end, if we ignore this it will come back to bite us. But it sounds to me like you have a political hang up and can't see this. I don't know why I'm going to say this but here it is. It's my own theory. I think that Iraq did have WMDs and that the US knew it because of several reasons. Other countries said so and even the conutries who supplied them with materials. But that's not the main reason I think this. Here's my wacko theory. The US can spy on any country and see exactly what they have. I believe that they have a sattelite(s) or they can use the Hubble telescope to spy on other countries. The reason they don't come out and say, "we know where they are," is because the pitures will reveal what kind of technology they have and then that will drive those who want to do evil things underground. It's better to let your enemy get away with things and keep an eye on them than to expose them and loose the ability to to know what they are doing, even if it means losing some lives. It's kind of a spy war, in my eyes. Sound wacky enough for ya? That's what I think. So you see, I don't care who's reporting what, (Red or Blue) I don't trust politicians on these issues, not so much because they are inherently evil or whatever, but because they "can't" tell us the truth. And as it goes, we only find out years later. In the mean time we are the ones who may suffer. BTW I don't trust the UN after all the corruption they have been involved with. Any WMDs that were left over from Saddams first use on the Kurds, et al, were probably bombed during the Clinton bombings... Notice, I said "probably" as no one knows and they have not been found out. Hans Blix seems to think that this is a relavant point.... Norman Byers, N.D. Posted February 17, 2006 Author Posted February 17, 2006 Hi Neil, Quote: were probably bombed during the Clinton bombings... Notice, I said "probably" as no one knows and they have not been found out. If they were bombed back then wouldn't there have been a lot of people killed as a result of the toxic clouds? This bombing was not in a remote area as I remember, so it would have done some damage. I doubt they were destroyed then. As for the tapes, they will be released tomorrow and we'll have to wait and see what the 12 hrs of recordings reveal. Some were made in 96 I believe. I look forward to them. Dr. Shane Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Quote: Some were made in 96 I believe. I look forward to them. Yes, this is correct. Some were made in '96 and documented Saddam's WMD programs at the time and concern about what weapons inspectors might find. They also discussed terrorist attacks on the US which may be why Putin warned Bush about a possible attack. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
