How did you meet your spouse or girlfriend/boyfriend?

My husband and I met on the ICQ chat program on the computer. I was living in Fairbanks, Alaska and he was in Pleasant Hill, California

After 7 months of nightly chats online and a very occasional phone call, we finally met at the Seattle Airport and our first "date" was to attend church at the Bremerton S.D.A. Church. It was also Chris' first time in an Adventist Church. We married 4 years later.

Chris and I both believe we had the ultimate matchmaker - the Lord!

My Valentine's Day is being celebrated by long-distance telephone this year. It's nice to have someone who cares... but nothing (so far) has been able to match my dear late husband.

Valentine's day is over here and we did not do anything special to celebrate - in fact last night I went to a hospital administrative meeting and Sammy went to a Bible study instituted by the neighbours (which is another story and we pray for them). But reaffirming our love and committment to each other was sufficient acknowledgement of the day.

You are another cyberspace match Denise! Sammy and I met through a Christian singles forum, but were able to meet in person about 3 weeks later so it was not really an internet relationship. I met my wife while I was on a missionary trip to El Salvador. We married 13 months later.

Yesterday I bought her a stuffed elephant (not because I am Republican) with a rose in his mouth and a DVD she wanted. I left them both on the kitchen counter for her to find after I left for work. She normally gets up after I leave. She called me when she found them.
