I'm not a fan of basketball (or any other sport, really), but I do really appreciate the life this woman led. Especially the "near end" of her life when she chose to share her struggles with early-onset Alzheimer's with the public. Taking away some of the stigma and shame of dementia; also letting others in on the very real struggle families have to go through--a lesson to be learned by all.
