Been reading the Koran lately (for the 2nd time; didn't get far the first time because it was hard reading) and here is what I have found thus far:

1. The God of Islam Is a) "All-merciful, All-compassionate   b)to Him ALONE we should pray  c) Omniscient  ("He has knowledge of everything")  d) Omnipotent?  "Truly, God is powerful over everything."  e) Creator

As I understand it, Muslims are avowed monotheists and reject the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, So I find it very curious that when God speaks in the Koran, He often uses the first person plural such as "we", "us", and "our" MANY times..  He also uses the singular.

2.  Punishment to unbelievers in hellfire

3.  For believer who "do deeds of righteousness, that for them await gardens underneath"  and "there for them shall be spouses purified; therein they shall dwell forever."

4.  Angels

5.  God has a covenant

6.  Religious diversity and that heaven is not restricted to Muslims?  "Surely they that believe, AND those Jewry, and the Christiaans, and those Sabaeans, whoso believes in God and the Last Day, and works righteousness - their wage awaits them with their Lord, and no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow."

7.  Mentions transgression of the Sabbath

8.  Resurrection

There are some things that disallow any conversation that would have a tendency to remove ones' position of clinging to the Rock of Ages as our best and only eternal hope for the future He promises.

12 Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” 13When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and recognized that they had been with Jesus.…Acts 4

15This is a trustworthy saying, worthy of full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst. 16But for this very reason I was shown mercy, so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His perfect patience, as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life. 17Now to the King eternal, immortal, and invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.…1 Timothy 1
