Rossw Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 No, just more sabre rattling. Nobody will push for war between such big powers which gives an advantage to China in claiming the disputed waters. Maybe Obama will create a line for China to not cross or maybe he learned his lesson? Russia acquired Crimea without so much a wimper and probably for the best. Ask a Ukrainian what is better, Russia, or the Nationalists and the answer gets a little complicated, which the US really can't understand because of our hatred of Russia. The combination of our poor leadership in transition and the fear of all out war gives other countries an advantage. Personally, I think we shouldn't get involved in non violent disputes. We have a terrible track record of causing power vacuums. Toppling Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi are some of the worst decision ever made. Quote
