For me it is a window into one reason into why there are misunderstandings and different interpretations of statements. are you hearing what the person is really intending to say, or is the information being filtered by your brain which is coloured by its knowledge and history? In one aspect that is the beauty of the Bible, and how it fits all people and circumstances. But, what about too much individuality? It seems that people's theologies differ SO much! How much is okay and how much is not? How do we know where to draw the line between order and unity on the one hand and chaos on the other?
