Now MEXICO wants to build a border wall to keep out illegal immigrants from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala

They complain 'hordes' of immigrants are flooding the country on the way to the US

MEXICANS plan to take a leaf out of outspoken Donald Trump’s book of wisdom – and build a wall to keep migrants out.

They are calling for a huge border barricade to keep out Guatemalans, Salvadorans and Hondurans fleeing violence in their homelands.

The Mexicans hope the barriers will keep tens of thousands of migrants at bay

They complain ‘swathes of illegals pass through their country on their way to  a new life in the United States.

However once they arrive in the US they are quickly deported back to Mexico rather than their home countries.

Central American migrants are left stuck in border cities with Mexican officials unable to afford to send them back to their own countries, according to an article in the El Mañana newspaper titled: ‘Yes to the Border Wall … but in Mexico’s South.’

Trump sparked international outrage last year when he unveiled his idea for a giant wall on the US border with Mexico – which he claimed Mexico would pay for.

But while Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has mocked Trump’s plans, many Mexicans praised the concept of a border wall.

There are two newspapers called 'El Manana' (sorry about the lack of accents) in Mexico, one in Reynosa and one in Nuevo Laredo. It would be interesting to know which this story was from.

Of course 'Mexicans' in this story could many anything from one to several, but does not mean 'all Mexicans'.

It's even possible this story is a Mexican satire of Trump's proposal.

I'd be interested in more detail... but even if the story is 100% as reported, more people embracing a terrible idea doesn't make it a less terrible idea.

The hypocrisy is entertaining.  If true Obama even thinks it is a good idea as he gave Mexico 75 million dollars to the building of this wall.

One of the largest newspapers along Mexico’s border with Texas is calling for a border wall with Central America, similar to the one being promoted by Republican Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump.

The editorial board of El Mañana, one of the largest newspapers in the border state of Tamaulipas,  penned a piece called “Yes to the Border Wall … but in Mexico’s South.” The piece praises the idea of border wall, not on the border with Mexico, but on the border with Central America.

“Along the Mexican border peace and quiet came to an end, Central Americans played a large influence,” El Mañana’s piece claimed.

The Mexican border newspaper provides a controversial view on the Border Wall; which is one of the main topics in Trump’s campaign.

“Mexico’s southeast has two borders; one with Guatemala and one with Belize, that do not provide any benefit, but on the contrary only problems are brought by these crossing points that are being used for the new invasion. The one use by Central American’s looking for a way into the United States. ” El Mañana’s editorial board wrote.

One of the issues mentioned in the editorial piece points not only to the hordes of Guatemalans, Salvadorans and Hondurans that flock to Reynosa in an effort to get to the U.S., but also to the large number of Central Americans that are left in Mexico after deportation.

Once the illegal immigrants are deported to Mexico instead of their country of origin, then Mexican officials simply leave them in Reynosa since the government lacks the funding to send them home.

According to El Mañana, illegal aliens left in the city are unable to find a place to stay since most shelters can only provide them with three days of food and bedding.

“Many of these migrants when they are unable to find an honest way of life turn to robberies, kidnappings, extortion, and in the worst cases join the ranks of organized crime,” El Mañana’s piece revealed.

Trump’s idea of a border wall is a good one but it should be on the southern border with Central America in order to stop the flow of Central Americans from entering both countries, according to El Mañana. The newspaper also calls for proper immigration checkpoints where documentation must be presented in order to gain access into Mexico.

The Mexican newspaper called out Democratic presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton for not having even mentioned the issue of border security.

Obama: Hey, Let's Help Secure Mexico's Southern Border

Hey taxpayers, how do you feel about sending money to Mexico in order to secure the border? The southern border of Mexico that is, not the southern border of the United States with Mexico. More from the Free Beacon: 
 

Obama administration and Mexican government officials recently discussed creating a three-tier security system designed to protect Mexico’s southern border from drug and human traffickers, according to U.S. officials.

The border control plan calls for U.S. funding and technical support of three security lines extending more than 100 miles north of Mexico’s border with Guatemala and Belize. The border security system would use sensors and intelligence-gathering to counter human trafficking and drug running from the region, a major source of illegal immigration into the United States.

According to the officials who discussed the U.S.-Mexican talks on condition of anonymity, the Mexican government proposed setting up three security cordons using electronic sensors and other security measures along the southern Mexican border, along a line some 20 miles from the southern border, and along a third security line about 140 miles from the southern Mexican territorial line.

The plan would be funded in part through the Merida Initiative, a U.S.-led anti-drug trafficking program that has involved nearly $2 billion in U.S. funds.

Meanwhile, illegal foot traffic from Mexico into the United States has doubled since January, when talks of amnesty of Capitol Hill started to heat up. Border Patrol agents and Sheriff departments along the southern border with Mexico are continually battling dangerous drug cartels armed with AK-47 style weapons. 

"We've seen the number of illegal aliens double, maybe even triple since amnesty talk started happening," an agent told Townhall, who asked to remain unnamed due to fears of retaliation within Customs and Border Protection [CBP], something he said is common. "A lot of these people, although not the majority, are criminals or aggravated felons.  This is a direct danger to our communities."

While the United States' southern border remains wide open, Mexico's southern border is already heavily secured with a full fence, armed guards, barbed wire and lookout towers. Not to mention, Mexico treats illegal immigrants far worse than we do. 
 

American politicians in both parties are stampeding all over themselves to pander to Mexico and adopt mass illegal alien amnesty schemes. But while the Mexican government lobbies for more “humane” treatment of illegal border crossers from their country into ours, Mexico remains notoriously restrictionist toward “undesirable” foreigners who break their laws or threaten their security.

Despite widely touted immigration “reforms” adopted in 2011, Mexico still puts Mexico first — as any country that is serious about protecting its sovereignty should and would.

It's time for the United States to focus on it's own southern border, not the southern border of Mexico 2100 miles away.
