at least this op-ed didn't resort to name-calling and disrespecting all Republicans.  I'm much more likely to give consideration to the above — though I wouldn't vote for someone just because she was a woman and knows how to change a diaper.  That's ridiculous.  But I agree, Hillary is smart and can run circles around Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and the current President, intellectually speaking.

I think the diaper reference was a bit of a tongue in cheek allusion to the Clintons' comments about parenting perhaps in response to comments started by Trump about his own interest, or lack of, interest in parenting of young children.  It really was more than being able to change a diaper. It may have been prompted by his reaction and comments about a crying baby at one of his appearances. As I recall, Trump at some point has basically acknowledged being a hands off and not particularly involved parent and grandparent of young children, dismissively saying he leaves those mundane duties like changing diapers, etc. to others.  Not particularly surprising given his public persona and temperament.  In contrast the Clinton's has spoken a number of times of enjoying being doting parents and grandparents and Hillary apparently mentioned changing diapers at some point.

Not that any of that really matters for being president of course, but for some people it is a clue of their respective personality, temperament, and attitude about family values.  I would say that for me, you can really tell a lot about a person by how they react to and relate to children and even puppies and kittens.  On a superficial level, politicians kiss a lot of babies to foster that positive perception.  It is noteworthy that Obama has shown a genuine knack of relating to children and babies.  A number of pictures and videos of spontaneous moments of him with kids have gone viral.  But I'm sure that for some because Obama and Hillary seem to be good with kids that may now mean that such qualities are suspect and no longer a positive attribute.  You know how things get spun into the opposite of what they really are...

I agree.... Barack Obama is terrific with kids!  I think he genuinely really likes them.   I've not seen much of HC with children, but she's probably a good grandma...

Pam i cringed when HRC made the "deployable" comment

I saw the context and she expanded.

But dont say things like that Hillary!

In a room with your supporters you feel u can say that I understand.

Trump also feel empowered in a room full of supporters

i get that

But the world is watching!

I myself am surrounded by Trump supporters at church and where I live.

And know them to be great people.

And insulting them does no one no good.

After who ever is Prez ..we have to come together and forgive on both sides otherwise nothing good will get done and hard feelings will make it more crazy and even more polarized.
