The unity that brings Glory to God is our unity with Jesus and the Father by the Spirit.  coming under the heavy handed arm of the church does not comprise unity with God.  The closer we come to God the greater our unity.

Jesus had three passions, Love for His Father, the longing for His Father to be glorified, and the redemption of fallen man.  As we enter into and participate in these three passions of Christ we enter into a measure of Unity.

Any person, man woman or child, who is involved in these three areas of life are walking in His will.

No level of Church organization should be hindering or working against this unity.  Is the church to step in the business of judging or restricting other's service, and labors for the lost?

Love awakens love.

Let God be true and every man a liar.

As one who has spent 20 years in active service in the U.S. military, I have been formally instructed in the art and science of armed conflict.

When we send our military into battle, there is one overall mission to which all must contribute.  But, individual commanders at given the freedom as to how they want to conduct their operations in a manner that contributes to the overall mission.

This does not mean that doctrine does not exist as to how they could conduct their operations.   It simply means that they have the choice to follow the doctrine or to do otherwise, as long as it contributes to the mission.

Case in point, when we invaded Iraq:

1)  The overall authority for the invasion rested in one Army 4-star.

2)  That 4-star had been trained at the Army War College and was well versed in Joint Operations.

3)  As such he knew the doctrine that existed as to how the invasion should be conducted.

4)  But, he decided to do it in another manner, not prescribed by doctrine.

5)  The result was that the invasion became a success quicker that was expected.  In addition, the tactics that he used have become a source for study at the War College and the Command and General Staff School.

My point:  Unity involves a common mission.  It may not involve uniformity.
