Administrators Gail Posted October 7, 2016 Administrators Posted October 7, 2016 Quote Romans 2:24- For just as it is written, "the name of God is being blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you." This is referring back to Isaiah 52:5 But think of this principle. Is there something we are doing to blaspheme God to unbelievers? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Unchained Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 If we as individuals (or as a Church) give people a false impression of Christ’s character, then yes, we would be responsible if people don’t want anything to do with God. That we are a spectacle to the world is a sobering thought, for sure. I’m afraid that we see examples of this too often; people who are left with an unfavorable impression of the advent message after having met with professed adventists. In the end there is only one antidote: “The pure, holy lives of believers will be a living sermon, an effective argument through which the Holy Spirit may convince and convict.” {Ms9-1895.10} Gail 1 Quote
Raphael Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Yup, of particular is how gay marriage rights are accepted and supported by particular Christian organizarions.. I think the discussion of the Sabbath on the 7th day is already off the charts and pointless cause even gay marriages are already embraced.. Non Christians (gentiles and unbelievers) in common for sure are aghast at this and is a cause of blasphemy.. Quote Test me with thy might but grant me safe passage. Now, who said that?
Administrators Gail Posted October 8, 2016 Author Administrators Posted October 8, 2016 Many secular folk have no problem with gay marriage... What they do have a problem with is hatred and judgment. That is the reputation that Christianity has in the eyes of many. Who is to blame for that? Is that how God changes people? Administrators debbym Posted October 8, 2016 Administrators Posted October 8, 2016 The politicizing of gay issues and gay marriage has brought a lot of changes to the face of our society. We don't have to get involved get actively involved in these agendas to do service to God and man. Jesus stepped back from the politics of His day. I abstain from plowing into the politics of our current USA presidential election. i have too many other things to do to become so waylaid. This does not mean i have not opined over these matters, but i cannot have any impact on what is taking place. Quote deb Love awakens love. Let God be true and every man a liar.

I recall some wisdom from each ending teaching the late Morris Venden that always made me feel comfortable when considering my life as His child. God never knew a sin He did not hate. God never knew a sinner He did not love. God never knew a sin He could not forgive. And God never knew a better time than now. Perhaps one might bend the sentiment a little by making a caveat. The unrepentant sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven. God is Love!~Jesus saves! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
