It occurs to me that this is where a lot of 'religious' republicans need to be....people like Tom Delay, Frisk, and a few other leaders, most of whom tend to be republican at this time.... [Yes, I know, my commentary is spin, so take it for what it is worth.]

He also recieved a nearly $2 million fine. Eight years or even the maximum of ten years is a little light if you ask me. Politicians occupy a position of public trust and when they betray that trust the punishment ought to be severe.

So he has to pay back all the money and serve eight years. He will probbally get out early on good behavior and one of his fat cat friends that earned millions because of him will give him a job making $100k+. Hardly the punishment appropriate for one that betrays the public's trust.
