I'll throw some exploring/expanding questions in, to get the ball rolling. Q: What is a Kingdom? Q: Why does Jesus use the word "Kingdom" so frequently instead of "Family"? What's the difference? Q: The synoptic gospel writers choose a title "Kingdom of Heaven" or "Kingdom of God" and stick with it in their book. Why? What's the difference? Q: Where is the Kingdom of God? When N had his dream and at the end a ball was cut out of the mountain and it smashed the statue into powder, etc. It than says and God's Kingdom will last forever and ever! (Daniel 2:44) That tells us a lot about what the Kingdom of God actually is. God's Kingdom isn't 'pie in the sky by and by" - it's present. It's been setting up shop and building since the days of the ten toes. Administrators debbym Posted October 29, 2016 Administrators Posted October 29, 2016 God's kingdom is everywhere God's love rules supreme, and the fruits of the Holy Spirit are are enjoyed. The divine is not in agreement with the fleshly and the two cannot walk together. Extending the Kingdom of God is inviting others to come under the Lordship of Christ, and nurturing faith and love towards God in all. Quote deb Love awakens love. Luke 17:20, 21: Quote Luke 17:20-21, ESV Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” The KJV puts it that the kingdom of God is within you. I get the feeling that the Bible gives us many little glimpses of the kingdom. Like when trying to discover the nature of other heavenly things, this topic just grows the more I learn.
