Nicodema Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Hey, come disrespect me if you need someone to disrespect. At least I'm worthy of being disrespected (at least everyone else seems to think so, and who am I to question the august pre-emptive judgments of Everyone Else???) Nicodema Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Clio, those pictures were gorgeous! Thanks for sharing such beauty. Quote "After such knowledge, what forgiveness?" -- T.S. Eliot
Clio Posted March 7, 2006 Author Posted March 7, 2006 Thank you Nico. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. I was going to post more, but I think I'll wait till this thread drops off the front page or the moderators move it. The beauty has gone out of it for me. Dr. Shane Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 My statement was a political one which is what we discuss here in the World Affairs forum. I put the big-grin graemlin to show the toungue-in-cheek humor. Get it? Iran is such a beautiful country - where are the beautiful cliffs they throw people off from... Hahahahaha. I am sorry that my humor was lost on some. I guess I need to add the "Hahahahahaha" after the graemlin. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 It really goes to show that the beauty of God's creation can be seen even in the worst of places. The rain really does fall on both the righteous and unrighteous. However would we have any less sympathy for the people of Iran if they lived in an ugly desert land? Does the fact that their nation has natural beauty make us feel even worse that they are held captive under a fundamentalist regime? Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I like a well-placed jewel upon a beautiful woman... but some of my Adventist brothers and sisters may disagree.
