There is no way to stop a dishonest person from lying. Does it matter? Not really in the long run as there isnt any recourse until the next election Trump didnt win the election because of his sterling character. Had there been a honest ethical person running on either side he would not have won. He also addressed issues that concerned many. Not wanting anyone that promised more of same, there wasnt any alternative. As we know even obstructing justice isnt enough to remove or prevent ubethical behavior

Of course you can't stop them lying but you can hold them accountable for lying by pointing out the lies, withdrawing support for policies, opposing polices, civil disobedience, even impeachment!! 

The challenge is that Trumps  lies are so frequent that my fear is that they will be accepted as just his way of doing things. I think that is already happening.

Impeachment,now that is a novel idea isn't it. Obstruction of Justice didn't seem to effective in removing a lying president,it will work going forward for any president that lies? In your dreams

As for policies ,if Trump carries thru on just some of what he said in the campaign,who in their right mind is going to withdraw support from a policy they want enforced? Not supporting Obamacare didn't seem to do much good,only told we had to pass it to know what we had voted for.

Sorry to see you endorse civil disobedience. Protests are not disobedience. 

As for pointing out lies,over the next four years it will be non stop for every word he utters.
