It is my understanding that her daughter, Carrie Fisher, died within a day or two of her mother's death.

Thank God for something better than this world to look forward to.

No, it was the other way around, sadly. Carrie Fisher suffered a heart attack on a plane and was in hospital where she succumbed. Her mother died the day after. In any case, what a family tragedy.

They were both a huge part of my childhood, and they are both going to be missed.
