Do people speaking in whispers tell you of secret studies that the GC had conducted that it does not want members to knw.   Well, here they are, in public, available to all:

and how much did all of those research projects cost the church???

If they are once in an every decade, for example, maybe needful. But I would question also the need for ongoing/continious research. Again, is this the best use of monies, in particular tithe funds?
