Not difficult when you have a two income family and consider the education level. So yeah....probably correct on the 1/3.

I remember as a kid(coming from a non Christian family) visiting SDA homes that they all lived very well.

The 2 main SDA churches in town were very ornate and grand in their own way.

Very nice expensive cars in the church parking lots.

The way people talked about their riches was a direct blessing from GOD.

It was so connected like that in my head for many years.

When families were hit hard financially .. The first question that was asked  " Have you been paying your tithes? "

Really not much positive to say about SDA churches or members is there?  Why bother to belong to such a denomination?

 

 As claimed about ornate SDA churches I don't think I have ever been in one  that I considered ornate. Modest average homes is more the rule than living very well. Cars range from several years old to a year or two old. Most are not new.  Anyone that has ever received help from our local church was never asked about tithe.

Riches are not necessarily financial,many consider themselves blessed on a limited income. Maybe the jealousy and condemnation of some all the time  is a bigger sin than waving your materialistic blessings
