The solar energy received by the Earth every day is the equivalent of the energy that would be released by the detonation of 100,000,000 atomic bombs of the sixe  dropped on Hiroshima.

 

NOTE:  My information comes from material written by a Dr. Michael Dombeck, formerly of Yale University, Iowa State University and Chief of the U.S. Forest Service.
