The brightest example is the example of the Apostle Peter… Peter thought that he was ready for anything for the Lord, for any trial. But one cannot deceive the Lord, as he can deceive people, because the Lord knows the man’s heart. That is why the Scripture tells us: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
