Thefollowing URL contains a collections of guidelines published by the denomination:

NOTE:   The above does NOT include everything.

Why do we need guidelines on abortion? Denominations such as the Southern Baptists and Catholics do not have guidelines on killing! Our hospitals were built with the specific mission of healing. Why did we include killing in our mission back in 1970 when elective abortions were permitted in our SDA hospitals?

Ecclesiastes

 3:1    To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
 3:2    A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up [that which is] planted;
 3:3    A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
 3:4    A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
 3:5    A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
 3:6    A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
 3:7    A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
 3:8    A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Do you believe that our Adventist pioneers, including Ellen White, would agree with your response?

Are you asking if I believe our Adventist pioneers would agree with the Bible?  because my response was all part of that which was given "by inspiration of God" and profitable for doctrine, for rebuke, for correction, and for instruction.  Whether or not our pioneers believed the Bible, and took God at His Word, it is my privilege and duty to do so.  Do you only agree with the Bible if someone else does?

Those guidelines state that it is justified to take the life of an innocent and healthy unborn child if the father was a rapist. Is this based on a biblical principle. My Bible states that the child should not die for the sin of his parents.

New International Version
”The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child.” [Ezekiel 18:20]

You quoted the Bible, but you misapplied its teaching.

For the past several days, Nic  has been engaged with us  in a discussion of the rules under which this forum operates and his desire to post on  abortion issues.  Those days of discussion have resulted in Nic being given a specific  thread in which to post his view on abortion.  Under this decision multiple threads on this subject are not allowed and this thread is closed from view.  Nic may post in that other thread which he had been given.
