We sort of suspected this, didn't we?

I for one never expected the delicious tasting tomatoes used on my sandwiches in the late '50's would now be tasting like tap water as they unfortunately do. 

I grieve for the loss of those tomatoes with their great aroma.

Technically, a tomato plant produces sweet delicious fruit when it is constantly in sunshine, has the right amount of mineral rich water at it's roots and is given additional nutrients.

I agree.  Word play is fun.  I have loved words ever since I learned how to read.  My parents had a huge dictionary.  It must have been at least a foot thick and I used to spend hours just poring over it reading all the words and definitions.  What a nerd.
