Administrators debbym Posted February 6, 2017 Administrators Posted February 6, 2017 very good article!! i would recommend this read to anyone. the thought that we become non judgmental by our failures is beautiful. It echoes this scripture that i love. seven times indicates complete falling. and it is not until we get to the end of ourselves that we depend most fully on God and rise. Proverbs 24:16-18English Standard Version (ESV) 16 for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity. 17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, 18 lest the Lord see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him. Quote deb Love awakens love. Let God be true and every man a liar.
joeb Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 The entire article is a fallacy. I can show this quite easily. There never has been anyone with higher standards of right and wrong, and, good and evil, than Jesus. This article says that high standards are against love, acceptance, caring, etc... and that love and standards do not dwell together. Thus it is very clearly a fallacy. The title of the article makes it clear all on it's own that it is an either/or choice between a safe place for sinners and high standards. I couldn't disagree more.
