A fabulous numbers, but not necessarily when you consider how big the universe is and their jobs as messengers doing the bidding of God. Of course, with an omnipresent God who can be anywhere and speak to anyone in person at anytime, were they really needed to be messengers? I think sometimes God just likes to create self aware beings who can be thrilled with being alive. However, one third of the angels were cast out of heaven along with Lucifer. Doing the math shows that there must be about 50,000,000 demons! In Patriarchs and Prophets, EGW speaks about some of the angels who wanted to withdraw from the rebellion. However, Lucifer convinced them that they were in too deep and could not back out. (Doesn't this sound like the line from a lot of crime TV shows where the bad guys convinces the unsure ones they could not back out because they would still be in trouble with the law?) So, do you ever wonder, if you had been an angel, would you have joined the rebellion or been true to God? Remember, you had a 1 in 3 chance of joining the rebellion. The texts for the story are Matthew 8:28-34, Mark 5:1-20, and Luke 8:26-39. Did only one of the two want to go with Jesus? Also curious, Jesus asked the name of the demon. And the response was, "We are legion." So, while I am certain that in heaven, Jesus knew the name of every one of the 150,000,000 estimated angels, why did He not know their names when confronting the demons occupying the demoniacs? Or, perhaps He did. Some have said that along with omnipresence, he also gave up omniscience (the state of knowing everything) when He became a man. One other thing I find curious in the New Testament is how many children were brought to Jesus to have demons cast out. What is it about children that allows them to be taken over by demons? We all joined. There is not a single member of the human race, other than Jesus, who has not joined it. A small minority of us here on earth us have, since joining, become turncoats as far as the devil is concerned. Quote

I remember when a preacher (maybe Morris Venden) calculated How many angels there are. He was going on the premise tat each soul has two angels each and there are over 7 billion people on earth. So lets say 15 billion angels at least hovering around the earth. And Millions of Angels attending God? Billions perhaps meeting and greeting in untold numbers of unfallen worlds? Things like this make my mind and soul soar! It has to be an outrageous number. I mean look at the creativity God has in unending. Just on our Earth alone has hundreds of thousands of animals and plants and sea life. And we are still discovering new ones. To address the OP ..I do not know if, i was an angelic being, I would have been swayed falling under Lucifers subtle craftiness questioning God's Agape non violent no shadow of turning Love. Me being a finite being with a beginning looking at all the infinite wonders of His Hand. Yet looking up at the oldest and wisest angels who probably took me under his wing and telling lies to my gullible naive self. Yet I am loyal and would go to others. It has taken a lot of miracles in my life to overcome my rebellion against God. So, I don't think I am being facetious to say I am pretty sure I would have rebelled. I don't have a problem answering it. Yes, I am now safe to save because God has subdued the rebellion within me. I must keep focused on Jesus to keep that rebellion subdued, but as long as I trust God to sanctify me and maintain my relationship with Him I am safe to save. It is that way with all of us. None of us are safe to save if we do not maintain a constant abiding relationship with God. Quote

Is Adam, after having been saved through Christ, safe to be with God throughout eternity? I say yes, if in God's assessment Adam died an overcomer. Same thing with us. Overcomers will Christ not blot out from the book of life and will be seated with Christ in His throne even as He also overcame and sat down with the Father in His throne (Rev 3:5, 21). Quote
