Joe_in_RP Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 What if you saw a sign from God? How would you feel? What would you think? What impact would it have on you? What impact would that have on your life, if you knew for sure you saw a sign from God. Most people probably don't have answers to those questions. Because we've never really been confronted with a pure sign from God. People may say will this is a sign from God. Or that is a sign from God. What they are talking about is human interpretations of natural event's. Now often, it's easy to see that this may be the leading of God. When there has been some intervention in someone's life, in some way to keep them safe, it's easy to say, well this was a sign from God. However they're not overt signs. What were talking about here is an overt sign from God. Is there such a thing? If we go back to the Old Testament, we can see that God sent signs. In Hezekiah's time, the shadow went backwards. That was clearly a sign from God. There was no natural way for that shadow to go backwards. 2 Kings 20 When the Israelites left Egypt, the Red Sea parted. We can see no way in nature in which a sea can separate, wide enough for 1 million people to walk through on dry land. That just does not happen. So that's clearly a sign from God. Exodus 14 When Elijah was on Mount Caramel, and the offering sacrifice was consumed by a fire from heaven. And it was so hot it burned up the stones. 1 Kings 18:16-38 That's not a natural event. Stones are not consumed in a fire. And the fire was a direct response from a prayer. The Transfiguration of Jesus is another sign. These are unnatural events, that clearly stand out in our world. So what about today? Are there any signs from God in 2016? If there were, would people recognize them? On October 1, 2016 a very unusual event took place in Jerusalem. It was a Sabbath morning, before the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah. That's the Jewish new year. Traditionally at that time they blow the shofar 100 times. It was during the blowing of the shofar, the people looked up and saw something very unnatural. They saw a circular cloud over the city of Jerusalem. And that cloud was moving in to the center of the circle. Before the clouds could get to the center they dissipated. It was similar to a fiery ring, except the clouds on the outside were moving in. It looked like the wind was blowing them into the center. However, there is no wind that blows into the center. Occasionally we might see a win that blows out from the center. But it never blows in. This was documented by two individual witnesses. They took videos of this event. When the first video surfaced on the Internet, people said that it was a fake. That somehow they used computer graphics to produce this effect. Then another video from another location in the city was posted on YouTube. Here are two photos of that amazing event. Photo 1 Photo 2 You can see they are from different vantage points, and yet the circle in the clouds is the same. This is an unnatural event. It serves no purpose in nature for clouds to behave this way. The only purpose is to be a sign from God. Okay, so what does it mean? Let's take a look in the Bible in Luke chapter 21:20 20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Mrs. White writes about this in the great controversy page 30. It was a warning to the disciples and to all Christians when the Romans came to destroy Jerusalem in 70[?] A.D. all the Christians who fled, were saved. Not one parished. Interesting that Jesus says, all Judea. Not just the town of Jerusalem. Who is spiritual Judea today? Could this be a dual prophecy? Could it have been fulfilled once but also be a warning to us today? Could the clouds have indicated that all of Judea should flee? Let's read some more and see if it fits. 25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Well that is clearly end time language. It does not really fit the Christians in 70 A.D. So it's possible, that this is a dual prophecy. If that's the case, then God could be sending us a warning. One year from this event is Thu, Sep 21, 2017 Rosh Hashana (New Year). The Sabbath before the Brown Dwarf of Rev 12?. It's entirely possible some dangerous event will take place in September of 2017. Something so powerful and dangerous, that God is sending a warning to all Christianity. This phenomenon in Jerusalem, cannot be explained by natural methods. Only supernatural methods explain what was recorded. We should not take this lightly. It's been many years since we have seen a direct sign from God. Quote

The whole website is dead. The guy he references is this user on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/ronib1979/videos He is a director not a special effects guy. Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted February 16, 2017 Moderators Posted February 16, 2017 Thank you for giving us the citation for your statement that Snopes had debunked Jesus. I note that you cited a secondary source and did not cite the original article in Snopes. This caused me to question the truth of your statement. Secondary sources are not as good as an original source. So, I wnet to Snopes to see if I could find the article. Snopes has 16 pages of listed articles on Jesus & Christ. Snopes does debunk the idea that Jesus was born on December 25. It debunks the idea that a young woman was about to give birth to a 2nd coming of Christ. But, it does NOT have an article that says what you say it has. So I went to the website of the National Report. Here I found the quotation listed below. The National report publishes satire and all its articles are false. IOW, its statement that Snopes published an article that debunked Jesus is false. You are entitled to believe what you chose as to the alleged photo of the circle of clouds. You are entitled to believe what you wish in regard to Snopes. But, as a Christian, we can expect a certain level of truth in your statements. Yes you can be honest and be wrong. I do believe that you are honest, but wrong as to your statement about Snopes. But, I will ask you to be a bit more careful as to the statements that you make. The next time you decide to cite Snopes, please cite the original source so we can check it out. You could, with very little effort, haVe discovered that all articles in the National Report are false. NOTE: Here is the URL that will take you to the quote below: http://nationalreport.net/disclaimer/ Quote Disclaimer National Report is a news and political satire web publication, which may or may not use real names, often in semi-real or mostly fictitious ways. Joe_in_RP Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 I did not know National report was false. Or that it was fake news. I am offended by your attack on me. Quote
Gustave Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Joe_in_RP I'm a Christian and have no problem with miracles - but I'm thinking the drone activity could likely be the cause of that ring.. I'm not saying that its definitely NOT a miracle - I don't know. Quote
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted February 16, 2017 Moderators Posted February 16, 2017 Joe: I stated that I considered you to be honest, but wrong. If that is an attack on you, so be it. The bottom line is: You made a false statement about Snopes without any attempt to determine if your statement was true. As a Christian, which I consider you to be, you have an obligation to seek to determine the truth of such statements. I hope that in the future you will attempt to do so. Anyone can be honest and wrong. That is how I consider you to be. phkrause 1 Quote Gregory
