Did you read the article?

The article seemed to be in conflict with itself.  It teaches that people are born already saved by grace:

Quote

Grace saved us before we were even born.

But it also teaches that people are born NOT yet reconciled to God:

Quote

To be reconciled to God we need to accept Jesus’ substitutionary death on the cross as an atonement for our sins.

In short, the article teaches that people, although ALREADY saved by grace before birth, are born NOT yet reconciled to God!  How can that be?  Already saved but not yet reconciled to God?  That unless a person accepts Jesus’ substitutionary death on the cross as atonement for sins, he cannot be reconciled to God?

Amazingly, the article's next statement contains the proof text it used on how people become reconciled to God:

Quote

Romans 5:10 reads “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”

So what reconciled people to God? Christ's death as Rom 5:10 says, or, people's acceptance of Jesus’ substitutionary death as the article says?

Also, the article does not clearly spell out how a person becomes part of the body of Christ or simply in Christ.  AFTER one is saved by grace, is a person already in Christ, or, AFTER one is reconciled to God?

At this point, I understand your question better than I first understood it.

So what comes first, God's saving of man, or man's doing his part to be saved?

Wow! Now we have come to the point about salvation! I read the piece and it too me made things confusing. Why is it so hard to realize that the gift is YAHSHUA'S redeeming or buying us back! Does that mean we do not play a part? Do anyone truly understand the work of THE HOLY SPIRIT? HE is here to work with all who want to change and stop sinning. Sinning is the transgression of the Law! YAHSHUA said be perfect as HE and HIS FATHER are perfect. When we listen and obey THE HOLY SPIRIT we begin to change.

And grieve not THE HOLY SPIRIT ELOHIYM, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Eph 4:30

The sealing process begins when we allow THE HOLY SPIRIT to convict us and then HE convert us. Convert mean you were going one way and you turn around and go the opposite direction. We must stop sinning in order to receive the gift which is eternal life without sin. If we fall then THE HOLY SPIRIT is able to keep us or HE start where we fail to repair the damage but we must stop doing the damage to ourselves. It was stated:  “faith  that works.” You demonstrate faith by your works." Correct! The word Israel means to overcome and many will not. That's what EGW saw in her very first vision, those who in these last days that will overcome. When THE HOLY SPIRIT cleans us up, then YAHSHUA RIGHTEOUSNESS can come in and cover us. The mind have to be free from sin and THE HOLY SPIRIT works with us to get it clean.

Those who follow truth are a peculiar people, we do not follow crowds or the norm. We are different, we talk, walk, and act different. We don't accept the the things that all the other Protestants accept. I protest against all who goes against YAHWEH'S Commandment and all have including us not obeyed Ex 20:2-7 and fake keeping the Sabbath! The Bible said Abraham obey HIS VOICE, kept HIS CHARGE, the Law, Judgments and Statues; we don't! That is why we make excuses thinking that poof YAHSHUA is just going to save us and we do nothing but have faith! So many will be surprise in this church when they realize that they will not be sealed because we are pushing THE HOLY SPIRIT away! This work will be finish by a small group who will overcome and bring in the great multitude during the Time of Trouble as the Bible clearly states. These people will see the overcomers do miracles, not persecuted or thrown in prison or hiding in caves. But as Rev Chapter 11 speaks about the two Witnesses which is the Bible. Who will have the Bible the overcomers anointed with THE POWER of THE HOLY SPIRIT for those who will stop sinning and join with those who will keep the Commandment and have The Testimony of YAHSHUA!

Blessings!

Having read thru the article "Adventism's Two Conflicting Gospels", I would have
been able to understand it if it had been a new convert to the church. But seeing it
was written by an SDA pastor, it became quite concerning that it was written and
published.

I tend to believe that the Bible in its entirety needs to be taken in an integrated
fashion. All of it is important and must be fitted into its proper place. This
article seem to focus exclusively on grace to the exclusion of the value of other
things, such as works. It is becoming fashionable in some circles to even question
whether the book of James should even be in the Bible. Perhaps the next version of
the "SDA Bible" can just leave it out.

Unfortunately, the author of the article took to calling such things as character
development being a lie and all even good works "sinful". And the part of character
development being a "satanic lie" was a bit over the top.

Granted that there are those depending on their "good works" to save them which is
wrong, like James I believe that the lack of good works demonstrates a lack of Jesus
abiding in a person claiming to be one with Him. In fact, Jesus demonstrated in
parable how not doing good works will is an example of how you treat Him and failure
to do them will lead him to declare, "I never knew you." He even when so far as to
tell us to do good work that God can be glorified.

I find verses such as "Be ye perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect" and
"If ye love me, keep my commandments" to be an encouragement that becoming like
Jesus in sinlessness is possible. If I say it is not possible when God said it is,
then I have called God a liar. I have no doubt that at various times in the human
history of this earth that various individuals have reach a place where they ceased
to sin. "Ceasing to sin" should not be confused with perfect as in never sinned.

For those who do not believe in Last generation Theology, it has been proposed that
some of the very functions of the pouring out of the Holy Spirit in the Latter
Rain is to maintain God's people thru the time of trouble when probation closes
without sinning. As will be said in heaven when probation closes, "He that is
unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still:
and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him
be holy still." This to me can be taken to mean that in the period between the close
of probation and the Second Coming, the righteous will no more sin. The proposal
that we will sin right up to the return of Jesus is to me a satanic lie!

You can argue if you want how Jesus live or His state of being when he lived his
perfect life here on earth, but I believe that the life he lived is available to us
all. Everything He used to live that perfect life is and always has been available
to every human being. He found that dependence on God enabled Him to live perfectly
as He did. The Holy Spirit will always be there, the Father will always be there,
and Jesus will always be there to enable any person seeking to avoid violating God's
laws to do so. Jesus said "I will never leave you" and that will be true thru the
time of trouble.

It has always been Satan's contention that we cannot keep God's Law and he had a
better plan.
