Things not seen ...

Sometimes you can go thru life having even been "born into the church" and never
see somethings that God would wish to reveal. Sometime ago part of the Lord's
Prayer was going thru my mind and this part came to mind, "Give us this day our
daily bread." And it became an OMG moment! He wasn't talking about feeding us
with food for our stomachs, He was telling us to ask for Jesus in our lives that
day! (My current sig line in case it changes in the future: Jesus said, "I am
the bread of life"; DT Niles said, "Evangelism is one begger showing another
begger where to find bread.")

This has become very interesting to me as another couple of verses shows that
God is eager to share secrets with those who pursue Him. "Call to Me and I will
answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
Jeremiah 33:3 And Daniel was even shown the contents of another person's dreams
prompting the king to exclaim, "Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of
gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest
reveal this secret." Daniel 2:47

I sometimes think that heaven and earth have gotten more distant than it was in
Bible times, but like the thread on angels, there are many things going on all
around us all the time that show that God and even all of heaven is very
involved with this earth all the time. Most of the time the populace doesn't
even see or know what is going on all around them. This Jesus illustrated when
He was teaching the disciples about why He spoke in parables, "Who hath ears to
hear, let him hear. And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou
unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto
you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not
given." Matthew 13:9-11

So, another one of the OMG moments has come to me. "And before him shall be
gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd
divideth his sheep from the goats:" Matthew 25:32 "When saw we thee a stranger,
and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in
prison, and came unto thee?" Matt25:38-39 I have thought about this story a lot
lately, especially as I watch the fighting over social issues consumes the
church and so little evangelism happens as people think it is the pastor's job
to do the soul winning. And while visiting those in prison or are sick, feeding
the hungry, and clothing those in need are very important things to do, again,
Jesus is not even talking about temporal things. We should be visiting those in
the prison of sin, bringing the healing rays of heaven to those with the soul
sickness of sin, and feeding the hungry with the Bread of Life, and helping the
spiritually naked put on the robe of Christ's righteousness. Because those who
do not know Jesus and have His regard for the others in this world will hear the
most awful words you could hear anyone ever say, "Depart from me, I never knew
you."

I really believe that when you search the Scripture seeking to know God, He will
begin to show you things you always missed. He will rescue you from your current
predicament. "Now hear this, O foolish and senseless (b/w photodude!), Who have
eyes but do not see; Who have ears but do not hear." Jeremiah 5:21

One of the delightful parts of Scripture is much of it seems to be about real
life, but hard to see are the true spiritual meanings. Therefore, one should
never open the Word without asking God to reveal His secrets to you as He sees
fit.

I would suggest you have, being led of the Holy Spirit, stumbled upon this reality for those so moved.
