Stan Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Jesus spoke about the Born Again experience... we are all familiar with that. It seems hard for some good and faithful Adventists-since-birth to see a need for the born again experience.. Thoughts? debbym and Gail 2 Quote If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses. https://www.paypal.me/clubadventist Administrator of a few websites like https://adventistdating.com
Administrators debbym Posted April 23, 2017 Administrators Posted April 23, 2017 three responses come to mind, just having a pastor mention these things does not enlighten one. It is that Laodicean condition... ""you know not". Education can be expensive. If not tuition dollars it can take years from your life to learn some things. Indeed we need to be restored to our first love experience, those who were born again may lose the thrill of the hope in who Jesus is, and what He has done, is doing, and will do. Keeping that alive, for those who may not know... sigh, we need to be born again every morning. we need a re-baptism of the Spirit at the beginning of every day, a new surrender, a new living exercise of faith. Administrators Gail Posted April 23, 2017 Administrators Posted April 23, 2017 Yes- what does it look like to you? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators debbym Posted April 23, 2017 Administrators Posted April 23, 2017 prayer, worshiping God in praise and thanks, then asking and receiving. it has a humble appearance. what cannot be shown or seen with the eye is what is inside. reviewing the promises and asking for the Holy Spirit and accepting the revelation of my need and asking for what i need. and we do need God but cannot know it without the Holy Spirit revealing it. and we can ask, Lord show me my need of you.
