Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted April 25, 2017 Moderators Posted April 25, 2017 See: http://atoday.org/books-william-g-johnssons-where-are-we-headed-adventism-after-san-antonio/ Yes, this book does address female ordination, but, it goes well beyond that. In fact, it addresses 10 issues: Women’s Ordination: The Battle is Over The Chosen: Exclusive or Inclusive? Waiting for Jesus: The When or the Who? The Message: Will we Keep the Main Thing the Main Thing? Organization: Thinking the Unthinkable Adventists and Creation: Jubilation or Confrontation? Mission: Beyond Counting Heads Interpreting Scripture: Will Ellen Have the Last Word? The Promise of Adventism Unity—Top Down or Bottom Up? Unchained Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Johnson's book is very interesting, a book every person with a passion for the church ought to read; highly recommended. However, this is a book that probably won't be read by the ones that would benefit the most from it, some people will be put off because Johnson obviously is positive to women's ordination and interfaith relations. But this is a shame, because this book is about a lot more than ordination and how we relate to people from other religions. The chapters about organization and mission are thought-provoking in a positive way, even if you disagree with Johnson about ordination these two chapters alone are reason enough to pick up the book. phkrause 1 Quote
