Nicodema Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Oh no!!! What a loss. Thank God he had the chance to get his amazing story on film (DVD) before he passed away. Hopefully it will continue to inspire others who both want to serve their country and yet know in their hearts that God has said killing is wrong, period. Moderators Kevin H Posted March 28, 2006 Moderators Posted March 28, 2006 One of my childhood heros, and who I have tried to have as a rollmodel in both my civilian and military life. I'm sorry I never had to chance to meet him here, but I'll look forward to finally meeting him in Heaven. When I was deployed to Europe to help with the medical aeroevacuation of the troops from the war zone, on one of the less busy nights I showed my co-workers the DVD of Desmond Doss. Several cried, and all loved the story. By the way, if you either have friends deployed or want to send an "Any Service Menbers" package, may I recommend you include the Doss. DVD and maybe a DVD from Vision Video called the 4 chaplains. Quote
