Stan Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 @aka Over Sunday and Monday, we transferred to a new domain name, that was significantly more complex than what we anticipated. Most things are working well, there is something that I broke after everything was up and running. One of my favourite threads with the Peanuts gallery with Charley Brown, Snoopy and the gang I went to delete a single post and somehow I deleted the whole thread in error. I know the person well who created and update this. I am so sorry this happened, no software excuse I just did something wrong, I blew it all by myself. No one else is to blame. My options are this, to go back to the database backup last Friday and restore everything as it was to the old domain name, do the transfer all over again, and not haver any of the posts everyone did since Friday. Or keep on going without my favorite cartoon postings. I know Aka did a lot of work creating this thread over the years. The software people are putting into the next version of this, the opportunity to keep deleted threads in the database for a few days, however, that does help us now. I beg for forgiveness and would understand if AKA and those who really enjoyed that thread, not to return. This happened to me a couple of weeks back to Sojourner's topic. I tried to delete a single post and the whole thing went. I am suspecting this problem is more than just your transfer. Do you really believe all has to do with the change of domain name? Surely you sense a connection with the message delete in Peanuts and the whole being of Peanuts thread topic going into never-neverland. This could be as hidden Trojan doing the 'dirty' on us. Could you talk with the writer of the new software to help get the basic problem solved? I have no hard feelings. There seems to be a shimmer of hope as I read you could go back into the saved data base. The same thing happened to you and I got worried it would happen again if the problem source wasn't found and corrected before it happened again. aka Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 @Stan .... I suggest you go into some old thread that is only one page long and not very important on content. Delete one of the messages and see if the whole thread also disappears. Then that must give an indication of a bug in the software. Stan 1 Quote

I have been in contact with the developers and they are concerned as well. BUT I need a post that has multipages to it on order to duplicate the action..
