War With North Korea

It cannot be underestimated how dangerous the current situation with North Korea is considered to be by U.S. Military officials.  The following article paints a picture that the U.S. public has probably not understood.  Yet, I believe that current events in North Korea require that the U.S. public have understanding of the consequences of military action.  It  may even be a time for prayer, to include that our elected officials will not rush us into war with a failure to understand those consequences.

The following article is blunt.  But, I believe that it is fair in its analysis of the situation.  In the interests of an informed public, I bring it to your attention.

Personal note:

North Korean Tunnels:  That above article mentions the ability of North Korea to invade the rough underground tunnels that cross the border.  On an occasional basis, we have discovered these.  I have personally walked inside one that was several hundred feet underground and in a mountainous area.  Folks, such tunnels are extremely hard to locate.  Take them seriously.   

Artillery:  North Korea is well able to fire on the Capital City, where millions of people live.  The article is correct.

NK Army: The active duty sixe is believed to be 950,000 people.  This compares with an active duty size of the U.S. Army of 460,00 people.  By adding the Reserve members, the U.S. size reaches 990,000 members.  But,  North Korea with a population of a bit less than six million people has 25% of then in their Active and Reserve element.  This means that North Korea has more people in their military than any other country in the world.
