Southwestern Union constituency re-elects leaders

In its 28th Regular Constituency Session on March 27, 2006, the Southwestern Union constituency re-elected Max A. Trevino as president. Under Trevino’s leadership over the last ten years, membership in the Southwestern Union has increased from 59,000 to over 86,000, leading the North American Division in baptisms per member and membership growth.

“Evangelism is our first priority,” says Trevino. “We’re committed to taking the good news to every corner of our territory.”

The constituency session, chaired by North American Division president Don Schneider, also returned executive secretary Samuel L. Green and treasurer Deryl Knutson to office, as well as each of the other union officers and department directors.

“Our goal is to baptize 29,000 new members in the next five years,” says Trevino. “Our union will continue to set the pace for evangelistic growth for the Adventist church in North American.”
