Stan Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 I have seen it on here a few times, as well as outside of here. Someone may make a mistake, and some will call it a Lie. I typical call a mistake a mistake, but to call it a lie, to me, means it was an intentional statement to decieve. Does that understanding vary from area to area? Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted June 9, 2017 Moderators Posted June 9, 2017 Stan, an issue that I am well known to ride. You are correct. To say something is a lie, or to call one a liar is to imply that there was an intention to deceive. In actual fact, without an intention to deceive, something is simply and error, a mistake, etc One can be wrong, without being a liar. I may think that you derive most of your income from robbing banks. I may be wrong? But, if I actually believe it to be true, no intent to deceive exists and I am not a liar. phkrause 1 Quote Gregory

Stan Posted June 9, 2017 Author Posted June 9, 2017 LOL who would think I am a bank robber, but now I wonder where I hid the money. I could use that.
