Perhaps, along the same line of thinking, research scientists have studied how to engineered a microscope that could be installed on he head of a mouse, which would allow a view of the brain of that mouse, while keeping it alive and able to go about its daily activities. Mark Schnitzer, of Stanford has engineered such a microscope. It weighs in at 1.9 grams. (There are 28.3495 grams in one ounce.). It can be implanted on the head of a mouse in a manner that allows a picture to b transmitted to a computer screen and the mouse remains mobile and alive.
