Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted July 23, 2017 Moderators Posted July 23, 2017 A word of warning: I was talking this morning to a relative who sold a TV a couple of days ago. The bait was that the one who purchased offered more for the TV than my relative had asked, and the buyer offered to pay in cash. Only after it was all over did my relative discover that each of the bills was marked with a statement that the bill was NOT legal tender and of no value at all. My relative will be discussing this more with the police. But, probably the TV is now gone and the bills were marked. Quote Gregory

Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted July 24, 2017 Author Moderators Posted July 24, 2017 My comments to the relative: * Take this as a learning lesion. * Rejoice that you were not hurt. * As you believe that you can identify the person, discuss it with the police. Quote Gregory
Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted July 28, 2017 Moderators Posted July 28, 2017 I will never buy or sell anything using Craigslist. If you watch court shows on TV [Judge Judy and others] you'll find that most of the scams perpetrated on unsuspecting victims occurred by using Craigslist.
